Now + Next: Amazonโ€ฆWe Can Never Go Back!

Wowโ€ฆwhat did we do before Amazon? Possibly, spend hundreds of hours searching for something that can be found instantly at the stroke of a key.

We sit back, snuggled in our favorite locations, sipping our favorite beverages. All while discovering random shit that we completely do not needโ€ฆbut for some reasonโ€ฆit finds its way into our carts only to arrive at our doors within 24 to 48 hours.

Click the image to shop, all the fun without the hassle of trying to find a parking spot. These are NOT affiliated linksโ€ฆjust random stuff.

Now + Next: Chic Nest Styling!

As someone(designer) who has seen the interiors of many homes, Iโ€™m always shocked at how people choose to create their spaces. Everything from slick editorial vibes (think Elle Decor Chic), pedestrian (think Pottery Barn), to barely there modern (think art gallery chic), or worse yet, utilitarian (just what I need, nothing else), to โ€œWhenโ€™s the last time you saw your floor?โ€

We all have our own individual stories and desires on how we like to see our spaces reflect us.

Because this is a zero-filter zone, of bite-sized posts. How about this, since most prefer to go rogue with their homes hereโ€™s some zero-point content:

  1. Pick-up Your Shit.
  2. Style? First Discover Yours. Then No Buying Everything From the Same Location, that is NOT a Style Direction. That is Cut + Paste.
  3. If itโ€™s Damagedโ€ฆRepair it, or Let the Item Go!
  4. Basic Beige is Just that, BASIC.
  5. Stop Being Safe, Think Impact.
  6. Size Matters!
  7. Texture Play is a Mustโ€ฆEspecially for Neutral Interiors!
  8. Layerโ€™s Will Make or Break a Space.
  9. Add a Touch of Nature, No Green Thumb? Find Some Preserved Plantsโ€ฆAnything But Silk or Plastic.
  10. Stop Working Without a Net. If My Air Conditioner Breaks, I Donโ€™t Try to Fix it Myself!

Now + Next: Influenced?

Oversaturation of Influencers: As the influencer market expanded, consumers experienced fatigue from being bombarded with promotions, and endorsements, as skepticism increased and decreased effectiveness occurred!

Consumers need authenticity, everyday individuals with genuine insights garner more trust and engagement than established influencers.

As we know everything changes! First, it was over-saturation from Madison Ave (think Mad Men). Then it was all about the life of the 90โ€™s Supermodel, followed by a celebrity presence.

When the so-called influencer arrived, at first it was welcomed, but unfortunately, the unauthenticity became obvious. Only to discover they were the ULTIMATE POSERS!

We now welcome in the era of organic and authentic voices!
