What is Home Styling?
Aesthetic Enhancement: Home stylists concentrate on curating and arranging furniture, accessories, and decor to create a cohesive and visually pleasing environment.
Surface-Level Changes: The work typically involves adding or rearranging decorative items without altering the structural layout of the space.
Personal Expression: Styling reflects the personal tastes and preferences of the homeowner, aiming to infuse character and warmth into the space.
Really, that breakdown states it all! My favorite, Personal Expression. I started out as a home stylist, after years as working as a photo stylist/set designer for major studios in Chicago. When I moved to Dallas, I worked for Interior Design Firms. But, hands down, my favorite is Home Styling.
Why, you ask? Because with ID, it felt cold, functional, and very order filling. You need a sofa? Let me create one for you. Oh, you need a couple of chairs too, great, let’s work on those too.
Then the elements are created, delivered, and dropped into place! Job done.
With Home Styling, it’s an experience of re-creating a space as you take their current pieces to the next level. The client just seems so much more connected to the space when you not only respect their items, but then showcase them in a way that was never seen before.
